Be Merry

The card I am sharing today fits the Bizzy Bec's Christmas Challenge. I have used Memory Box Dies: Frostyville Wreath and Merry Script. The cute bird is called Holiday Birdie and is a Poppy Stamps stamp and die. The word BE was done using a Joy Crafts alphabet and numbers A. Bizzy Bec's Online Store sells all of these. I coloured the bird with copics and paper pieced his hat. For the embossed background I used a Cuttlebug folder.

Bizzy Bec's December Christmas Challenge

The challenge at Bizzy Bec's for December is of course "CHRISTMAS". December has come around so quickly. I have been so busy the last few weeks finishing off my school reports etc that I have had very little time to do any craft. For my card this month I used a Christmas Card Kit that I recently purchased from Bizzy Bec's online store. These kits are great and make life so much easier, especially for busy times like now!! As there are lots of different elements in the kits, I will be able to complete several cards from this one kit which is number 8.

Hi! I have had a very busy couple of weeks,and have celebrated a significant birthday!! I have  wonderful family, friends and workmates who all helped make this birthday a very special one. I am making some thank you cards and as I have several to make wanted them to be simple and quick. The card I am sharing is the first one I made. You Deserve a Treat

I would like to share a card I made for a friend's 50th birthday. Her favourite way to relax is resting on a couch reading a book so the S.W.A.L.K stamped image is perfect for her. I used a  Classic Square Scalloped Spellbinder Nestabilities which can be purchased from Bizzy Bec's Online Store. Bizzy Bec's October Challenge

We are halfway through school holidays here in Western Australia and I am loving the break. The holidays began with lots of excitement as my team The Fremantle Dockers played in their first ever (the club was formed 19 years ago) AFL grand final. Unfortunately they were not the winning team and did not bring the cup back to WA, however, they have had a great season and I am very proud of them!!

I made this card for a special Aunt  for her birthday. I am really enjoying using the card kits from Bizzy Becs Online Store. Everything on the card is from a kit except for the glossy card which I covered with alcohol inks, kraft card, sentiment stamp from my stash and the Memory Box Resting Birds which I purchased from Bec's here.

Bizzy Bec's September Challenge

Another month is here and with it of course comes another challenge at Bizzy Becs. The September Challenge is STITCHING. It can be Faux or Real.
I chose to do some hand sewing on my card - something I don't very often do! My image is a Magnolia Stamp -Tilda with Heart Socks which I coloured with my copics. I also used a Memory Box Die - Fresh Foliage and part of  Bizzy Becs  card kit #3.  I purchased all these from Bizzy Becs Online Store.

Cherish Border

I made this card recently while having a "play day" with some craft friends. It fits Bizzy Bec's Challenge theme  Clean and Simple leaving lots of white space. Although I love washi tape and won't admit to how much I have, I don't often use it! I have also used a Memory Box Die "Cherish Border". Bizzy Bec's July Challenge

The challenge for August at Bizzy Becs is Clean and Simple  leaving lots of white space and is by DT  member and challenge coordinator  Debra. I was inspired to make my card this month by an article in the "Australian papercraft essential" magazine on alcohol inks. I love using my alcohol inks but have never used them this way on a card before. I used a compressed air can to blow and spread the inks and really like the random colour pattern it gave. The die is from Memory Box called Bella Bouquet and is available from Bizzy Becs online store here. I love these dies and Bec has the new Christmas dies available for pre-order here. The greeting stamp I used is from Stampin' Up.

The Challenge prize this month is a gorgeous stamp from Crafters Companion "Best Pals" and is being by donated Bizzy Becs Online Store. This is such a cute stamp so have a go and enter...... have to be in it to win it !!!

Bizzy Bec's July Challenge

Another month and with it comes a new challenge at Bizzy Becs Challenge blog. This month the theme is Anything Goes and is by DT member Francy. By entering you could win a new release "Memory Box Die" donated by Bizzy Becs Online Store.

For my card this month I have used card kit number 15 from Bizzy Becs Online store here. I just love the rich colours in this pack. The only things I added were the ribbon and the number 50. I made this card for a friend's fiftieth birthday (obviously!!) and really enjoyed making it. The packs are great and I have enough elements and paper left to make another card.

I'm Your Angel

I would like to share a card I made recently for my friend's granddaughter. The stamped image is a Bildmalarna stamp called I'm Your Angel which I purchased from Bizzy Becs online store.  New Bildmalarna stamps can be pre-ordered now from the store. I coloured the image with copics.  The edging strip is a Die-namic called Double Scallop.

Bizzy Bec's June Challenge

The June challenge theme at Bizzy Becs is Monochramatic plus one other colour and is by DT member Karen. I recently purchased the two sided Spellbinders embossing folder from Bizzy Bec's Online Store and thought this would be a great opportunity to try it out. I love the result and it is a great bonus that you get two designs in the one folder. My card is quite simple but I feel that the embossing pattern is effective enough on it's own.

Perth is having a big weather change with some much needed rain and with it the cooler weather which I love. Perfect weather to be in my craft room. It is a pity that work gets in the way of this!!

The challenge at Bizzy Bec's Store Blog this month is Purple with  Bling added and is by our design team gal Sally. For my card I have used my new Cheery Lynn Wedding Vows Frame Die which I purchased from Bec's Online Store. I used glitter paper and added some rhinestones for my bling. Tilda with her Kookaburra

The card I would like to share with you today follows Bizzy Bec's tic-tac-toe challenge. I have used the top row: die/punch-blue-birthday. My image is  Tilda with her Kookaburra Magnolia stamp and  I coloured it with my copics. The die I used is a Memory Box Die Arboscello Tree which is available for pre-order from Bizzy Bec's store here. The image is cut using a spellbinder deckled rectangle. I hope you all had a happy Easter. I spent a very relaxing one in Busselton which is a beautiful coastal town in south west Western Australia. The weather here in WA has been glorious.

 My card consists of a die, bling and lace. The die is Catalina Wreath which is a Memory Box Die. My stamped image is from Magnolia and is called Dinner Tilda. I coloured this with my copics. Memory Box Dies and Magnolia Stamps are available for pre-order at Bizzy Bec's Online Store.

Tilda With Bunny

The card I would like to share with you today is my first Easter card for this year. I have used a Magnolia stamp - Tilda with Bunny. I coloured the stamped image with my Copics, but paper pieced Tilda's shirt. The new collection of Magnolia Stamps will be available soon for pre-order at Bizzy Bec's store here. The paper, doily, ribbon, metal flower, wish ticket and ribbon are all from Bizzy Bec's card embellishment kit number 9.  The Easter word sentiment is from my own collection and I stamped it onto a Whimsy Stamp ticket from the Love Mini Tickets Sentiments Collection.

Life is an Adventure

I made two extra cards this month which fit  Bizzy Bec's "Fun in the Sun" Challenge here. When it came to deciding which one to share I found it very hard to make the decision (typical me!) so have decided to put up both!!

On the first one I played around with my new gelato crayons to make the background, rubbing over a background stamp which I had heat embossed. I then used two memory box dies: Swaying Palm and Brand New Bicycle. Memory Box Dies are available  for pre-order at Bizzy Bec's Online Store.

On my second card I used paper from a paper pad I purchased from Bizzy Bec's Online Store. It is called Summer Splash and is from My Mind's Eye. The only extras I added were the ribbon which was from my stash and the wave border. I wanted to make the card using  the design paper pad with minimal extras.

Fun in The Sun - Bizzy Bec's Challenge

When I chose Fun in the Sun for this month’s challenge theme on Bizzy Bec’s Store Blog I had no idea that WA would have  such an intense heat wave over Christmas and the New Year! I must admit to staying inside my house with the air conditioner on rather than being out in the sun! My husband and I did, however, spend a few days after Christmas in the south of the State with family. During this time we did lots of reminiscing about our childhood, which is where the inspiration came for this card.

The Cody Fishing image from Bec's Blue Butterfly Digi Stamps Boyz Will be Boyz collection available here reminds me of the time spent with my brother when we were children fishing with my Dad in his dinghy. As a child many of our summer holidays were spent at the Great Lakes in Tasmania surrounded by the cool waters and fishing in the sun!

I have used two Memory Box Dies –Leafy Branch and Spring Border. Both these dies are available for pre- order at Bizzy Becs Online Store. The sun stamp and paper are from my stash.
